We have experience in the hospitality industry having spent Show more descriptionmost of our working careers aboard cruise ships, running pubs and hotels all over the UK and now having completed the rennovations on our home are providing a very friendly, welcoming and relaxing place to stay in Normandy.
Your stay at Le Presbytere will begin with a warm welcome from Tom and Toinette (and their 2 new rescue dogs, Alfie and Molly) where you will be invited to enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of tea before being shown to your room.
Le Presbytere offers four guest bedrooms, all are spacious and comfortable. The Orange room is our king size en suite with beautiful views over the Normandy countryside. There is a connecting balcony across to our Green room which is our twin en suite, so lovely for friends or family staying together. The Gold and Pink bedrooms overlook the 19th Century village church and front gardens, both have king-sized beds with fitted wardrobes and comfortable settees; they share the main family size bathroom that is set between them. Dressing gowns provided for the short walk.
Tom and Toinette will do whatever they can to make your stay as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, so whether you need directions, reservations made at one of the delightful local restaurants , taxis booked or something more obscure, follow their house rules and 'just ask'.
Continental Breakfast is served in the dining room or weather permitting the garden! !!
For activities during the day the historic medieval town of Domfront is only a short drive away, as is the beautiful spa town of Bagnole de L'orne with a casino and lake set in the middle of the forest, or for shopping Flers is only 12kms away. Le Presbytere is ideally located for visiting places of interest throughout the Normandy region, within a one and a half hours drive you can visit Bayeux, the D Day landing beaches and cemetries, Mont St Michel, St Malo, Concale and Dinard.
In the evening make yourself comfortable with a book in the guest lounge, watch English or French television or take a stroll and enjoy a glass of wine in the extensive gardens, or in the local bar.
With bed and breakfast accommodation that is very comfortable, and an atmosphere of tranquility that allows you to truly unwind, Tom and Toinette hope Le Presbytere will make guests want to return again and again.
