Our house in the village of Ancinnes is tucked up close to the Forest of Perseigne. This is a wonderful area to explore by car, on foot or by bike.
Village shops are within a couple of minutes walk of the B&B, major shopping centres 10 minutes. There are excellent restaurants nearby at Neufchatel en Saosnois and Alençon (6-8km).
On the border of Normandy and the Sarthe (Pays de Loire) we are 10 minutes from Alençon and the A28, 30 minutes north of Le Mans, 1 hour south of Rouen.
Bordering Lower Normandy and the Sarthe, Alençon is an ideal base from which to explore the Alpes Mancelles to the west; the Orne and Pays d'Auge to the north; the Saösnois, Marollais and the Perche park to the east; and Pays de la Loire to the south.
